Monday morning my mom, Ashton, Sydnee and I took off for South Pasadena for a week of fun! Josh and Jamie are living there right now while Josh is in dental school, and they were nice enough to let us crash at their house for the night! They live in the cutest little town! We went down to old town and had dinner and walked around the shops. We then went back and watched the Bachelor. Tuesday morning we got up early and got ready to head to Anaheim for Sydnee's dance nationals. Sydnee had won a scholarship at regionals so she had to be there a day early to practice with all the other scholarship winners for the dance they would be performing the last night at the gala. While Sydnee had practice we walked around downtown Disney and got checked into our hotel. After she was done we headed to Newport to go shopping at Fashion Island. It was a fun girls day! Wednesday Sydnee had to be down to check into the convention by 8 am. They had classes until 2 and then had a short break before competition that night. We were able to get a little time in at the pool in between all our dance stuff! That night Sydnee and Mckayla Jo performed Puttin on the Ritz. Originally this dance was a trio, then changed to duo, so every time they perform it I always get nervous for them to pull it off. They did great and ended up scoring a high gold and taking 1st overall in their category. At Hollywood Vibe they score it silver, high silver, gold, high gold and platinum. They were both really excited!

On Thursday the girls had convention until 1 and then had the whole evening off. Mom, Ashton, Jamie, Zoie, Sydnee, me, Allison, Decker, Natalie, Emily and Kali headed to Disneyland. When we got there Shaelon and Jayden ended up hanging out with us for the day. It was so much fun and a great day minus the ER trip that Allison had to take with Decker after he fell and hit his head pretty hard. Thank goodness everything ended up being OK!

Friday was a busy dance day! The girls had classes from 9-2 and then had to be dressed and ready to perform for Om Shanti at 3! ( I have no picture of the production number Om Shanti) It was a great night for Sydnee and SAS. Sydnee competed in 3 dances that night Production ( Om Shanti) a large group number, (Built this City), and a small group number ( Crush On you). Om shanti scored a high gold and 1st in its category, Built this City scored Platinum and 1st in its category and Crush on You scored a Platinum and 1st in its category! It was so fun of these girls! Sydnee had an absolute blast!

Sat. morning we woke up and headed to Huntington to have breakfast at the Sugar Shack! It was so good. We met Josh there too. He took Zoie with him so Jamie could have a little free girl time! We went and shopped around for a bit then went and got pedicures. The lady there was hilarious! She was very concerned about everyones feet! When you run and wear flip flops everyday your feet need a little TLC! After that we went back to the hotel and had to start getting ready for the Gala that night. We had dinner and got to watch a great show. Because Sydnee was one of the scholarship winners she got to dance with the faculty and all the other winners. It was such a fun opportunity for her and she did such a great job! It was fun to get away with just Sydnee for the week and get some one on one time with her. I think she kinda gets the raw end of the stick sometimes because she is the oldest so I cherish the times that we get one on one time. It was also fun to spend the week with my mom, sisters and girlfriends. It was a nice little break for everyone out of this heat! I was also so thankful for Guy who took the 3 younger ones the whole week by himself. I know it was not easy finagling everything that he had but the kids had a blast with dad!

What a fun girls trip for you! I loved dance competitions when I was little! Can you tell me where to find some cute girlie clothes and bedding. I have about 6/7 weeks left in this pregnancy and haven't bought a thing (dang economy!) Your girls always look so cute and I'm so out of it as to where to find girl stuff! My baby is going to be wearing jeans and Quiksilver shirts if I don't get a move on it!
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I bet it was nice just to be with Sydney and the girls. You both looked so cute and Hannah and I loved Sydney's yellow dress, so cute!
